Professional Lighting And Sound Association (PLASA)

PLASA is the lead international membership body for those who supply technologies and services to the event, entertainment and installation industries. As a pro-active trade association, it looks after the interests of its members and seeks to influence business practices and skills development across the industry.

PLASA owns and manages the PLASA Show and PLASA Focus events and publishes leading industry magazines Lighting&Sound America, Lighting&Sound International and Protocol.

The PSA is the trade association for companies and individuals involved in the live event production industry. Their aim is to represent, improve, educate and develop the business of technical production for live events. This is achieved by pooling the knowledge of the entire industry to create a single voice for the industry and a central resource for its members.

PPL (previously known as Phonographic Performance Limited)

Established in 1934, PPL exists to ensure that those who invest their time, talent and money to make recorded music are fairly paid for their work.

PPL licenses recorded music played in public or broadcast and then distributes the licence fees to its performer and rights holder members.

PRS for Music (formerly the Performing Right Society (PRS) )
